Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information is collected on the Yossi Shua website, why, who receives it and what your rights are. We collect only what is needed to answer you and to look after your order.

Who is responsible for your information

The site is operated by Yossi Shua, artist and sculptor, at the studio and gallery at 11 Shlom Zion Hamalka St., Jerusalem, Israel. Yossi Shua is responsible for the personal information collected through the site (the “database owner” under Israel’s Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981). The law this policy follows

This policy is written to meet Israel’s Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, including Amendment No. 13, in force since August 2025, and the Privacy Protection (Data Security) Regulations, 2017. Collectors from the European Union and the United Kingdom have the rights described below in any case.

What you give us

• The contact form on the Contact page: full name, email address, and if you choose to add them, a phone number, the subject of your inquiry, your message and how you heard about Yossi.
• The commission form (the “Commission a Unique Piece” window): full name, email address, and if you choose, a phone number and a description of the piece you have in mind.
• When you buy or commission a piece: the details needed to agree on it, to invoice it and to deliver it, such as a delivery address and a phone number for the courier.
• When you write or call directly: whatever you choose to tell us by email, phone or WhatsApp.

What it is used for

Only to answer your inquiry, to prepare a quote, to create and deliver a commission or a purchase, to issue an invoice, and to keep the records the law requires. We do not send newsletters or marketing messages, and your details are not used to build a profile of you.

Do you have to give it?

You are under no legal obligation to give us any information. It is your choice. Without a name and a way to reach you (email or phone), we will not be able to answer you. Without a delivery address we cannot ship a piece to you. Everything else in the forms is optional.

Information collected automatically

As on every website, the hosting server records technical access data, such as IP address, browser type and time of the visit, to keep the site secure and working. This data is not used to identify you and is deleted on a regular cycle.

The site has no Google Analytics or any other analytics tool, no social network pixels and no advertising cookies. The fonts, images and the film are all served from the site itself, so visiting a page does not send your details to Google or to anyone else.

Cookies and browser storage

• Consent cookie: remembers your choice in the cookie banner, so that it is not shown to you on every page.
• Accessibility settings: if you change the display in the accessibility menu (larger text, for example), the setting is saved in your own browser only and is never sent to us.

There are no other cookies. You can change your choice at any time through Cookie settings (also at the bottom of every page), or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Who receives your information

• Email: form messages are delivered by email to Yossi’s mailbox, which is provided by Google (Gmail). They are not stored in the website’s database.
• Hosting: the site is hosted by our web hosting provider in the course of running it.
• Delivery: when a piece is shipped, the courier receives the name, address and phone number needed to deliver it, and the customs documents for an international shipment.
• Accounting and the law: invoices and payment records go to our accountant, and information is disclosed to an authority only where the law requires it.

We do not sell, rent or pass on your details to anyone for marketing.

Information sent outside Israel

Gmail keeps messages on Google’s servers, which may be outside Israel, and a piece shipped abroad travels with its delivery details to the destination country. This happens only as far as needed for that purpose, with providers who protect the information under their own legal obligations.

How long we keep it

Inquiries are kept for as long as needed to handle them and for a reasonable time afterwards, so that we can answer you if you get back to us. Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as Israeli tax law requires (generally seven years). You may ask us to delete an inquiry earlier.

Security

All communication with the site is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to the site’s management and to Yossi’s mailbox is limited to the people who need it and protected by a password. No system is completely immune; if a security incident affects your information, we will act as the law requires, including notifying the Privacy Protection Authority where needed.

Your rights

• To see the information we hold about you (section 13 of the law).
• To ask us to correct it or delete it if it is wrong, incomplete or no longer needed (section 14).
• To withdraw a consent you gave, at any time.

Children

The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how information is handled, the updated policy will be published on this page with a new date.
